In India Revenue in the Video-on-Demand segment amounts to US$166m in 2018. According to a Cisco report, India will have 829 million internet users by 2021, twice as much as compared to 2016 when there were already 373 million users.

Apart from the fact that the Interface was outdated and not at par with its contemporaries, Spuul users found the platform to be very monotonous and less engaging bundling not so enjoyable experience for the users. In order to recreate the entire experience, it was important for us to understand the user’s mental model once they come to the platform. As the content on the platform had to be user-driven, we went with a modular design approach having several widgets predesigned and adaptable each catering to the specific need of the user.
