Emotive expression has always been central to GDD’s approach, and Faber’s Candy Mixie is a clear reflection of that philosophy. Conceived as a product created for the Indian market, Faber approached GDD to reimagine the mixer grinder with a visibly transformative form factor, one that aligned with their design beliefs while strengthening everyday usability in Indian home environments.

Focusing on designing for Indian households, the project utilised durable product design principles and a clear balance of form and functionality essential to appliance design and long-term utilisation. The result was Candy, a robust appliance shaped by Indian aesthetics and organic lifestyles, yet a premium product designed for real-world use within local manufacturing and consumer expectations. A conscious and careful blend of modernity and nostalgia allows the product to integrate seamlessly into the Indian kitchen, exemplifying thoughtful industrial design for appliances built to last in high-usage, high-humidity conditions.
