Project Overview
Plug tops often lack differentiation, with limited attention to shape, function, and long-term usability in mass-manufactured electrical products. As part of a broader hardware product development effort in India, GDD re-examined the product holistically, addressing form, performance, and durability within real tooling and production constraints.
Through physical prototyping, the team demonstrated why physical prototyping matters, allowing early evaluation of wear and tear in product design and enabling informed material selection in product design before final manufacturing decisions. This focused, execution-led approach resolved manufacturing challenges and resulted in a differentiated, production-ready solution ready for high-volume industrial manufacturing.
